Matt has had such a HUGE impact on our team at IBM. I often forgot he was an intern based on the volume of his contributions and enthusiasm to make sure our users were having the best experience possible. He was a cornerstone in creation and contribution of the Red Hat Marketplace design system - building reusable components in Figma and presenting during crits to gather feedback and make sure the entire team was made aware of any changes/additions. Apart from his design skills, he's just a lovely human. Super easy to get along with, always willing to help, and one of those people that the team always looked forward to working with. I can't recommend him highly enough, I hope to work with him again in the future!
Brief
After being an intern with IBM for a year and a half from 2021-2022, I've had the opportunity to work on an incredibly vast amount of projects with them. These highlights include, a system of loading animations, to marketing videos, mobile designs, and even AI!
Solution
Red Hat Marketplace Design System: A complete redesign of RHM's Design system, and one of IBM's first Sketch > Figma transformation at scale. For more info about this, check out my separate case study!
Red Hat Marketplace Loading Animations: As a continuation of my work on their design system, I started an exploration of what a system of loading animations could look like.
IBM Embeddable AI: For this project, I helped design an AI chatbot (before chatGPT was released) and designed a re-skin of our Natural Language Processing offering.
IBM Software Central Marketing Video: I was asked to storyboard and animate a marketing video for a new IBM offering.
